work history
To create a safe and encouraging learning environment, I felt it was critical to maintain positive and respectful relationships with my students/families/teachers. Through my daily communication with them, along with active listening, I worked to create open lines of communication with my students, their families, and my colleagues. By building trust and working collaboratively with them, a more positive classroom climate was created.
In order to effectively implement the intervention activities within my classroom, I needed the support of others, as well as the assistance of my fellow educators. As I collaborated with my colleagues on the planning and scheduling of intervention activity sessions, I was able to share my ideas and be supported by my peers.
To effectively monitor the growth and development of my students, I need to keep accurate records of each child's learning process. In collaboration with the host teacher assigned to each student, I documented the learning processes of my students and reviewed the developmental checklists for each student, and I was better able to track the progress of my students.
Children need to be provided with opportunities to learn in environments that are available and accessible to them, while also being safe. was responsible for providing supervision during indoor and outdoor learning experiences and observing how children interacted with the various learning spaces available to them. Appropriate learning environments were determined through this observation and provided children with the opportunity for active exploration and engagement with their peers.
Practicum at Star Learners @Upper Bukit Timah
In Term 4, students needed reviewing of the major ideas leading into their end-of-year assessments. I created and conducted review lesson plans around Term 4's topic, modifying activities based on students' learning requirements. Students improved their recall of material and became more engaged, which resulted in increased confidence in classroom activities.
To provide effective lessons, teaching materials needed to be prepared and available for use prior to the beginning of the lesson. I organised and prepared lesson materials in advance to support the host teacher's delivery of lessons. Teachers could address students and manage classroom behaviour more efficiently, thus allowing the teachers to spend more time addressing students and increasing the amount of time they could engage with their students.
Students were preparing for the school concert, which needed rehearsing, as well as logistical support. I practised with the students on their concert dances, I helped set up the props, and I helped with managing the backstage activities. The concert went well, and students performed confidently onstage. I also helped out to create the concert resources.
The students went on a year-end field trip that needed to be closely monitored and supported. I helped by monitoring the students, helping the students make transitions, and keeping the students safe throughout the trip. All students had a good experience on the trip and were able to participate in a meaningful way.

Internship at Sunflower Preschool @ West Terra
There's a variety of ways that children learn. In order to reach as many children as possible, I created and implemented highly interactive and interesting lessons based on all of the eight multiple intelligences. Children showed greater involvement and showed greater engagement in all activities.
Large scale events at the school require extensive planning and co-ordination. I was involved in the planning and execution of Sports Day and National Day celebrations. Both events went off without a hitch, and children took part in both events with great enthusiasm.
Planning a field trip to Kidztopia requires thorough planning for children’s safety and a meaningful learning experience. I provided input and support while planning this trip with regard to logistical issues and the engagement of the children. It was a very well-organised event and gave children a very positive and enriched experience.
Classroom management is an essential component for maintaining a safe and effective learning environment. I help the classroom teacher by managing the children during their daily routines and activities. Classroom routines were carried out smoothly, supporting children’s learning and well-being.
