Felicia Ng

I am a year 3 student currently studying at Ngee Ann polytechnic taking a diploma in Early Childhood and Development Education. I am 20 years-old this year and I would most likely continue pursuing this course in the future, as I am motivated by my passion for guiding children and having a keen interest in nurturing them

Some personal traits that I possess are that I am a positive and easy-going person who provides assistance and aid to that need. Being a clean and organized person, I am able to keep track of schedules and plan ahead on how to stick to it. My time management skills are useful in a classroom setting, helping them to stay on track of their work. I am a devoted person and believes in lifelong learning and using creativity and play- based learning to help young children grow.

​Being a Diploma student in Early Childhood & Development Education motivates me to enhance children’s education through creative expression. I love creating drama-infused, art-based activities that foster a child’s imagination, build their confidence and ensure they are engaged and are able to interact in meaningful ways. The use of creative techniques such as storytelling, role play and hands-on craft activities allows me to create lessons that are inclusive to all in order to assist children in exploring new concepts.

My academic coursework, along with my practical experiences, has enabled me to effectively plan developmentally appropriate lessons that incorporate creative teaching and learning strategies into the curriculum. I have carried out a range of activities that foster Language Development via Dramatic Play, Fine Motor Development by creative expression and focusing on social emotional development.
